(NEW JERSEY) Given the recent scrutiny that Greek organizations have come under, Bruce Kesselman, a graduate of Rutgers University, set out to write a history of the university that provided him with the leadership skills he has applied to his life beyond Rutgers campus and the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity house.
Kesselman's book, 46 Union Street, is intended to be a history (the known and unknown) of fraternity life and the campus itself. Kesselman sent over 1,000 questionnaires to alumni and undergraduates soliciting information, historical facts, stories, and references to other individuals making this a collaborative effort.
All proceeds from the book go towards undergraduate scholarships in an effort to reciprocate the leadership training, friendship and the enhancement of future professional success that Kesselman himself received while at Rutgers.
Kesselman can discuss:
. Shedding new light on the "Animal House" stereotype of fraternal life and its philanthropic value to community . Jewish fraternities - their history and future. . The power of fraternal networking in business . Books as philanthropy: How 46 Union Street will provide academic scholarships . The collaboration of numerous influential university personnel and its alumni on this historical account
Bruce Kesselman, a New Jersey native, has been active on both a regional and national level for Alpha Epsilon Pi, a nationally recognized Jewish fraternity. Kesselman is the founder of Money Marketing USA, a strategic marketing consulting firm and the managing director of over 100 sales representatives and independent contractors.
